Tremendous support has enabled us to book a SIXTEENTH series of concerts for your enjoyment by musicians of international repute!

Starting on September 28th with the Ranting Lads who, in their current line-up, have been playing since the summer of 2016. Led by lead vocalist and accordion player Danny, the emphasis is on Irish standard tunes with jigs and reels thrown in. He is joined by his cousin Mark who plays lead guitar and banjo. The rhythm section comprises Johnny on guitar, Bernie on bass, and vocals and Danny’s brother, Tommy, on drums.  

On 19th November it is the 2nd Rossendale Scout Brass Band  The Band was formed in 1963. Originally formed as a drum and trumpet band the instrumentation was changed some seven years later and substantial progress has been made in conventional brass band terms. The later inclusion of girls enhanced the development and presently they make up almost a third of the membership. 

THE ORIGINAL ROCK AND ROLL BAND are in town on 14th March 2020 This very local four-piece band, whose members are all from the Hyndburn area, has been together for twenty-three years and features: Clarrie (‘Fingers’) Johnson on the piano and vocals. In the late 1960s, he was in a 7-piece show band called ‘The Skyliners Show Band’ based in Luton;  Barry I’Anson on guitar and vocals. From the early 1960s, he was in several bands, including ‘The Vikings’, ‘The Electones’, ‘The Summers’ and ‘Weather’;  Phil Eddleston on drums. In the latter part of the 1960s, he performed in ‘The Summers’, ‘The Senators’ and ‘Nevis’ and  John Anderson  bass guitar.

THE CONONLEY SINGERS perform on 16th May 2020   The Cononley Singers was formed in March 2010 when a group of villagers got together with the intention of starting some sort of singing group. Following a  modest start, the choir grew steadily in both number and musical expertise and currently numbers around 50,  male and female, with a wide range in both age,  and musical ability.
